ประวัติโรงเรียนช้างกลางประชานุกูล
1.การจัดตั้ง
โรงเรียนช้างกลางประชานุกูล จัดตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปีการศึกษา ๒๕๒๑ โดยเหตุผลความจำเป็นเกี่ยวกับการศึกษาของเยาวชนระดับมัธยมศึกษา เพราะต้องเดินทางไปเรียนในโรงเรียนฉวางรัชดาภิเษก หรือโรงเรียนลานสกาประชาสรรค์(สวนกุหลายวิทยาลัย นครศรีธรรมราช) ซึ่งอยู่ห่างไกลหลายสิบกิโลเมตร หรือมิฉะนั้นก็เข้าเรียนในโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาในตัวจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช หรือโรงเรียนเอกชน จึงจำเป็นต้องสร้างโรงเรียนนี้ขึ้น

ดร.ภิญโญ สาธร รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ ได้มนัสการให้ความหวังต่อ พระครูสถิตวิหารธรรม และมีบัญชาให้ทำเรื่องราวเสนอตามลำดับชั้น
